Cold weather, humidity and reeds

The humidity always drops when it gets cold. The furnace works to heat the
house. There is no proper humidity in the house.
Consequently: the reeds dry out and do not work properly. The thing to do is
to get a humidifier and get some moisture in the house.
One can get a humidifier gauge and determine just how much humidity there
is.
I find between 40 and 50 to be sufficient.
One class of reeds that are not affected by all this is the LEGERE reed.
If they play, then put them on, humidity or not.
