Well, I'm a freshmen in high school, and so I'm closer to the age where
people quit band. I've never had a friend quit because of a bad instrument.
It's always been because they lost interest or because we had a bad teacher.
Our middle school teacher taught us with force, and he forgot (I guess) that
music is a passion, not just another class to get an A in. He wasn't
encouraging at all. I think that's the problem. People accept kids these
days to encourage themselves, but if nobody else encourages them, they begin
to lose hope.
