I'm glad to hear this. When I was in High school I was detered from seeking
a career in music by well meaning parents and counselers because I'd never
make any money. Over 15 years later I regret that decision and am
considering taking some college classes so I can expand music career. I
currently play in a municipal band in the summer. We get paid but I'd do it
for nothing it's so much fun (don't tell the director though). I get angry
when I hear people tell kids to forget their dreams and get a real job. A
kid I went to high school with works in hollywood making music for movies.
(Wish I'd been nicer to him). It might be hard and you may need to have a
second job but if it's what you want. Go for it!!!
