Strictly speaking, without the low Eb, yours is not a full-Boehm clarinet,
although, like my BT, it has the other extra bells and whistles. As was
mentioned before, the low Eb on a Bb horn allows you to transpose and play
music for the A clarinet without "falling off the bottom." Why they also
put them on A clarinets occasionally is beyond me. The articulated C#/G#
key actually improves those notes considerably, and makes trilling them a
breeze, but apparently denies some other alternate fingerings.
