Hi Alicia,
It may seem wishful thinking, but without dreaming followed by action, you
will not get anywhere.
Pro musicians have a variety of options from private lessons to university
and college training programs. As a teacher, I always recommend taking the
more formal route and start with private lessons, followed by lots of
playing in the various bands, orchestras and ensembles available, followed
by entry into University program offering more of the same.
Depending how good you become the auditioning process will start. Most if
not all orchestras will go by what they hear instead of what the transcripts
say. In some countries the Armed Forces may offer an active pro player
opportunity. Of course how much you make depends on with whom you play.
Orchestras like the Detroit Symphony or the Toronto Symphony obviously will
pay more than the Kalamazoo or Kitchener Waterloo Symphony.
Of course not all orchestras are full-time.

You will be able to find lots of information on the web.

Good luck.
