Hi Lacy, I've been using the ETUDE model, the cheaper of the two versions
of the Kooimnan thumbrest, for about two years now. It costs $20.00 in my
area and is quite easy to install. It has provided a great deal of relief
for me and has resulted in pain-free playing, (except for my tone and
technique, of course; <G>). I have put them on my R-13, E-11B and E-11C,
and have only run into one problem with them; I have had the thumb hook
break three times now, but I e-mailed Kooiman and they sent me replacement
thumb hooks, with a few spares. All in all it has been a very positive
experience, and I would have difficulty going back to a regular thumbrest.
