Hi Lacy, I have been using the cheapie version for a year. I think they
cost me twenty bucks (I bought one for the Bb and A). I was having
recurring but not constant pain in the middle ring and pinkie tendons.
The kooiman works better than the stock R-13 and when combined with
resting the horn on my knee has pretty much eliminated the problem.
