Kjell-Inge Stevennson's is very, very good. I have it on vinyl - pretty much wore it out in college.

A Stevennson recording is available on CD (see http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B000002SFK/qid=1040588369/sr=1-1/ref=sr_1_1/102-4030988-9235362?v=glance&s=classical), but I don't know if it is the same recording.

As it happens, I met Mr. Stevennson at the Clarinet Festival in New Orleans summer before last. A *very* chariming man. When I told him how much I had admired the Nielsen recording, he reacted (with mock horror) "but I was so young!"

Stanley Drucker's recording is pretty much note-perfect.

I've been told that the recording by Louis Cahuzac is a classic, but I have never heard it. I believe that it is now available on CD; it's on my list.
