Hopefully, this is something as simple as the mouthpiece cork not sealing
well; but it's never the simple answer, is it? I'd look for leaks above the
throat. If you exhaust all other possibilities and still have no success,
test the register pip. I've never had a problem with it on plastic horns,
but occasionally on wood. Good luck!
