Perhaps the reason that your son "doesn't really like Légères" is that he
has
never tried the "cold turkey" approach. That was my experience.

I've not seen that to be true in the few cases I'm familiar with. I know
that Richard Hawkins never went exclusively to the Legere while working
with the company, and my son, who rarely if ever played a Legere, ended up
$2000 richer via winning a competitive scholarship when he used a Legere
in an absolute emergency for the audition. My son still doesn't really
like the Legere, but it saved his a** _that_ day.
