Somehow this reminds me of Victor Yampolsky at NU...once in orchestra
rehearsal, the bassoons missed an entrance and he stopped and said to
them, "Bassoons! What are you doing back there? You sit there like
furniture!" Another time, he said to the violins, "You rush like
gazebo!" really meaning "gazelle". I think I'll make it a point to write
these things down in the future!
