His name is Bruce Edwards and he isn't the only German system player to
buy/use a French/Boehm system basset horn or bass clarinet. A Wurlitzer
basset horn costs around $9000 last I asked. I'm lucky to have a Fritz
Wurlitzer bass and put up with a Mollenhauer German system basset horn.
It sounds lovely but it's always more work to learn the notes.
