Poor arithmetic indeed:
8 minutes is 13.33333...% of an hour. 0.075% of an hour is 2.7 seconds! $250 for eight minutes
would be an hourly rate of $1875.

Poor arithmetic but jolly good pay. However, you can't just convert it to an hourly rte, since if
you'd played for an hour, you would have had the same overhead of travel & warm-up time. If you
take as an example an hour for travel and warmup, then the $250 would be for 1 hour and 8
minutes, so an hour's playing would be a total of 2 hours, which would work out as $441.18, still
good but you see my point? If you want to count some of the $250 as costs and work on profit
alone, it gets even more complicated, ... but I won't bore you all with that stuff!
