I received a flier today on the Andreas Makris Clarinet Competition. Which
is being sponsored by Colorado State University.

It is open to students in the US born between 29 April 1978 and 29 April 1985.

Three finalists will be selected by adjudication of a tape or compact disc
of Intrigues for solo clarinet and piano by Andreas Makris (conveniently
available from Southern Music Company for $12.50).

Prizes are:
1st $3,000 and a performance with the CSU Wind Ensemble 29 April 2003.
2nd $1,000
3rd $500

Entry forms and more information is available from Dr. J. Steven Moore (the
CSU band director) at 970-491-5973. I checked the CSU Music Department web
site and did not find any information on the competition.

I have no involvement with this at all. I just thought that list members
who aren't on the ICA mailing list (which I assume was used) should know.
