I'm in the process of talking my band director into letting us have
soloists at our concerts.

A high school student's life is busy already, and I have no right to
talk because I'm not a performer myself; but I was thinking about a
different environment than school --- about getting a taste of
performance outside of school and family audiences. Perhaps to play
(for free, just for the pleasure and experience) for an hour some
evening in a coffee house.... a beginner's version of what Annie does at
Myrna's, etc --- perhaps with a couple of friends from school? perhaps
a session at a private dance or party, where your own peers are the
audience?

None of us on the list have heard you play, of course. But perhaps
it's something to think about?

Cheers,
Bill
