Taking some almond oil or bore oil and putting it on the bore
(especially above the A tone hole) will help some. You might try
bore oil in the upper joint all the way to the top, and inside
the barrel too.

In addition, I always have to make sure my instruments are on an
upright stands while playing instead of laying them down, to
avoid water settling in the tone holes.

I'm sure there are other ways of diverting the water...these are
just the ways I do it.
