This is a subject I haven't heard too much about amongst musicians and
never would have thought about until a friend of mine who happens to be
an audiologist, took my daughter's Girl Scout troop on a tour of her
office. Her daughter plays flute and was able to register 120 decibels
on the meter. She has her daughter use attenuator ear plugs when she
practices and of course, when she plays with the band. I have a pair
that I got somewhere for $13.95 but they don't fit me well at all. My
friend said she could custom fit a pair but they would be around $79.
Does anyone here use these or have any of you been advised to begin
using these? Just curious.
