A search on Google should turn up William Grant Still Music, which is run
by his daughter, Judith Still. She will be very helpful in providing her
father's music.

Also, the International Opus stuff is quite good. I've played some of it.
Intl Opus also has pieces by other composers of African descent - check
out his catalog.

The Samuel Coleridge-Taylor Quintet is a somewhat neglected gem. SCT was
born to an English mother and African Doctor from Sierra Leone. He does
have an American connection - he traveled several time in his short life
to the US to conduct various black choral societies that were prevalent
in the US at that time.

David Baker's music is fun, but hard. The Sonata is jazz inspired, and
needs a lot of practice to get the notes. Great piece though - worth the
effort IMHO. I just found a new recording by James Campbell (of IU).

Also, search for the composer Adolphus Hailstork, who teaches at Old
Dominion University in Virginia (US). I know he has a piece for clarinet
and piano from about 10 years ago. Another composer here in Virginia is
Harvey Stokes (Hampton U). He has several chamber works that include
clarinet.
