I'm not getting married, and never will, but I am getting a new
clarinet. It will be here by friday if my mom ordered it like she said
she would. That will be something to celebrate!

Yes, it will. Three cheers! After you've played a few pages on your
new instrument, be sure to tell us the details!

As for relationships.... I think music has something to teach us....

There's good music and bad music. The fact that some of it is bad
shouldn't scare you away from all music in general. In part, it's
*your* responsibility to learn how to tell the difference, and this
takes some time & effort.

As with music, what does or doesn't work for one person may do the
opposite for the next person. This means that you must understand and
accept yourself as well as understanding and accepting the other person.

....and most important of all, don't be in a rush. You haven't seen
enough of life yet to make an informed choice, nor even to know what you
will want for yourself as you grow up.

Enjoy your new clarinet, Rebecca.

Cheers,
Bill
