There are several good resources for searching.

1) The Center for Black Music Research, Columbia College Chicago, 600 S.
Michigan Avenue, Chicago, IL 60605.

or http://www.cbmr.org/lib/index.htm for the library and archives pages
Because of how soon you will need to perform the music, try contacting
Suzanne Flandreau, Librarian and Archivist of the Center, for a
recommendation. Let her know it is for a Federation club event. You
can also use my name, that I suggested the Center could help you. In
fact, I'll copy this to her so she can expect your e-mail (since I don't

The last might be your best bet with AMC if you don't already have a
lot of names of African-American composers in your head. The AMC staff
will be glad to help you. Do explain it is for a rapidly approaching
performance with the Federation.

favor by mentioning them in your program.
