What a wonderful message. My very first clarinet instruction book was
by Voxman, and later in life I was priveleged to have lots of
correspondence with him, particularly about the variety of doctoral
dissertations that were done under his supervision. From the viewpoint
of contribution to the world of clarinetdom in the 20th century, his has
been one of the most illuminating, and probably one of the longest.

When he did his edition of several Mozart operas for wind octet, I was
very happy to be able to supply him with source material for several of
those editions.

Please convey to him my very best wishes and for a long and productive
life (not that he needs my wishes in this respect -- his life has been
productive and long, may it get even longer).
