I have never played any of his music but you may want to look at William
Grant Still. There is some listed here:

He also wrote Folk Suite #4, for Flute, Clarinet, 'Cello and Piano. There
is a woodwind quintet version on the international opus web site.
The Scott Joplin Portrait arranged by Holcombe (Musician's Publications)
for clarinet quartet is also excellent (there is also a version of this for
saxophone quartet).
