That is really pretty much a lateral move, from one intermediate-grade
clarinet to another. Maybe a USED pro-line clarinet would be within your
range. Used R-13's tend to be overpriced, but you can pick up used Selmer
(Paris) and Leblanc horns quite reasonably, often well under $1000.
