Subj: [kl] Is it smart to go from a Selmer Signet Special, to a Buffet E11?

I now play on a Selmer SIgnet Special (wooden) (it is old and has been passed down since (guessing) 1975) and thinking about upgrading to a higher level instrument, I currently do not own the big thousands of bucks to pay for it, I was wondering if going from a Selmer Signet Special to a Buffet E11 which has some of the professional clarinet features is a good upgrade? and if there are anyother suggestions for clarinets.
