Well, that was more or less my first reaction also when I read Eric's
original post. But from his email address, I assume that Eric is not
primarily an orchestral clarinetist. Eric, what kind of playing do you do
most of the time? There are a lot of techniques and sounds used in jazz and
"commercial" playing that are shunned in most orchestral/chamber situations.
