In a similar vein, I have a 1960 wood clarinet marked in similar font to my
Buffet:

"Jean Martin (in simulated gold-coloured signature)
Made in France
Martin Freres"

It was originally priced slightly above the basic student horn.

To my amateur ears, and has sounded well all these years, and remains in
excellent shape.

Anyone ever heard of the "Martin brothers" clarinets?

I presume it is one of these "stencil" horns; I'm curious about their
reputation.
