I don't know if this proves anything about transcriptions, but
neurologically speaking, this isn't quite true.

Our heart rate **is** a functional part of the feedback loop that
creates our response to music. That is, we do feel our heart rate, and
our perception thereof does influence the course of our emotions ---
unless we make an extreme effort to ignore our heart rate, and some
people can't do this even if they try.
