Why someone would want to spend $2000+ for a musical instrument which
they have never _heard_ is truly beyond me.

I looked at the eBay advertisement for this one, and the dealer claims
to be selling new instruments that have been properly set-up and
adjusted. Nevertheless, the dealer **IS** on the other side of the
world. Do I remember correctly that Buffet doesn't offer international
warranties on new instruments? Clarinets do crack occasionally,
especially when shipped from one climate to another.

...and you can buy a new Buffet clarinet for less than list price here
in the U.S.

It just doesn't make any sense to me.
