Or to check if they were alive? One time, half-a-dozen crayfish
crawled from underneath a nearby seat. The young lady next to me had
never seen a crayfish, and she thought they were scorpions. What a
ruckus!

Eventually a partly embarrassed, partly belligerent passenger with a
broken styrofoam ice chest chased them down. Being a New Orleans
flight, the stewardesses were more amused than anything else. I wonder
what would happen nowadays?
