Klarinet Archive - Posting 000813.txt from 2002/11

I have webspace and am willing to put up an area with "polls" to allow
people to describe (or rather pick a description to most closely fits) their
opinion of various sounds of clarinetists.

Here is an example (though NOT working):

http://www.musix4me.com/Clarinet/Tone_Controversy/tone_controversy.html

There are no samples yet so the "click HERE" links are not active. Also, I
am seeking help with the "free polls" that I got offline. I created a
unique poll for each recording but the server keeps returning the last poll
I created for each of the requests from the Javascript that they gave me
(i.e. each poll reads "...clarinetist number five (5)"). So I'm working on
it.

Would this be helpful or has this already been done? When completed, THAT
particular area would show immediately the results of the polls through a
graph. I am not sure if it prevents multiple entries from a single IP
though to prevent "cheaters". So it would be the epitomy of "unscientific".
Nevertheless...it might prove useful. I'm looking into it.

I'd be curious to hear any input.

Robert
