Kimberly--

If you are a graduate student, then you obviously know about Groves
Dictionary of Music and Musicians, which is in most university
libraries. I suggest that you first read the article on Poulenc in
Grove's, and review the bibliography for additional source material. In
addition, I would check CD/LP liner notes that come with recordings of
the Sextet, as well as information liner notes pertaining to his other
works for winds.

As you stated, this is a research paper.

Dear Lelia,
Actually, yes, I am a student-- in graduate school. I am working
on a
research paper and performance of the Poulenc Sextet, and I was
wondering if
you might know anything about it. No, I don't have this for a homework
assignment. I'll wait to hear from you.
