To extend this topic to teaching a beginner tongueing - at what point
would you teach a rank beginner to tongue? As soon as the student can
produce the first decent sound? A week or up to a month later? Much
later? Does the answer change if this is a band class with many
clarinet students?
I would very much appreciate the collective wisdom of those on the list
who teach beginners.
Thanks!
