self-actualization, or, more likely, a HUGE ego, to walk away from such
a horrid teacher as you described. I must have been in one or both
categories perhaps, because I've walked away from teachers like that
more than once.

I've been fortunate to find teachers who were open minded, and also knew
that each student needed equipment and an individual approach that could
bring out the music within, as well as educate the studen'ts musical
intellect in order to interpret the music that is in front of him or her.

This said, however, I have managed to learn something from each teacher
I have had.
