For clarinet tone quality metaphors, how about:

e-e-e-e (long)
a-a-a-a "
a-a-a-a (short)
o-o-o-o (long)
u-u-u-u (Latin)
awww
ahhhhh
errrrr
echhh
ewe
uhhhh

etc., etc.

Do any of the above sounds and/or others remind you of your tone? Which
others if not those?

The use of these or similar phonograms could help resolve the tremendous
difficulties inherent in the verbal description of a non-verbal phenomenon.
