Bill,

Competition in the clarinet market place has moved all companies forward.
Buffet has responded in spades.
So many professional lines:

R13
R13 Greenline
Festival
Festival Greenline
RC
Prestige in two bores; RC, R13 (maybe Festival now....I haven't looked in a
while)
Elite
Classic
Forgive me if I've overlooked any...hahaha

It's really hard to believe....all of these clarinets are fine professional
line clarinets. Each meeting the needs of someone...
Buffet has not been idle these past two decades.
Francois Kloc has been the best communicator Buffet (or any big manufacturer
for that matter) has ever had. He is very accessible and responsive to both
the professional community and to all clarinetists in general. He sits at a
bench almost every day...even though his title would indicate a management
position. He works tirelessly at trade shows, answering questions and doing
top quality bench work throughout each and every day of a show. He is
constantly traveling across the country meeting with players and listens to
both their playing and to their comments/wishes. People like Francois have
only been accessible to the most elite players in the past...he's really
gone a long way to change that for the better.

Regards,

Forest
