The fellow who owns it appears to have played clarinet for 50 years.
His statement is: "I had it silver plated, keys, posts and all metal
parts about 15 years ago that gave more body to the tone." This
illustrates how **deeply** some of the ideas about 'tone' and 'material'
are embedded in our musical culture.
