I just want to add my two cents on one point when shopping E-bay. ust
because you have not heard of the "odd brand" does not mean it is junk.
I agree totally that the chinese instruments and many of those from
taiwan are indeed crap but you would be amazed at the treasures you can
find on Ebay. Two of my main horns were actually bought through this
manner. My Bb is an old Evette which was a brand I did not recognize at
the time and my eefer is a Paul Dupre. I still have heard nothing about
the eefer's brand but who ever made it knew what they were doing...it is
the best of it's kind I have ever played on....and rosewood to boot!
Always remember that even amongst a boatload of pure junk real treasure
can be found if you just look hard enough.
