Hello klarinet list,
I got some info on Kelly's request this morning from Nick Jones,
Atlanta Symphony program annotator (and actually a student of Balter's
some years ago, something I never knew, though Nick and I sat together
on the front row of the second tenor section in the ASO Chorus for a few
years). I've truncated his answer, excuding personal an peripheral
stuff, leaving in the essentials:
