Talk to anyone of a leftish tendency in the UK and you will soon discover
anti-American attitudes of a greater or lesser extent. This goes for
virtually the whole of the Labour party, except, perhaps, for Tony Blair,
and they resent him for that.

I've never really understood the attitude myself, but it goes back a very
