I recently switched from a Selmer Soloist-style C* to a Meyer rubber 5M for
concert work and to play 2nd alto in one big band I play in because it
makes a good blend with the lead player. The Meyer 7 is considered a jazz
piece, so the 6 would be sort of in-between. I use a Hemke 3 or Vandoren 2
1/2 on that one, but a Hemke 2 1/2 on my metal Link 5*.
