Rebecca,

I must say I admire your imagination. Don't be afraid of talking to any of
the manufacturers: all they can do is laugh or say they aren't interested.
On the other hand, it could inspire some kind of competition and it could
also challenge other ways of promoting music in schools -- i.e., building a
playable instrument in shop class or creating science fairs where one of the
categories is Acoustics.

Anyhow, I would love to see a picture of the flute, if you have a digital
camera. I don't think you can send it to the list serve, which does not
appear to accept attachments.
