And it does. However, it's of such a small amplitude (measured at
about -60db, 1 millionth the amplitude of the air vibrations at some
frequencies) compared to what gets radiated directly by the air column that
what it contributes to the sound is barely discernable close to the
clarinet.

Which is not the same thing as influencing the sound somehow by other means,
just not by direct radiation.

It all ends up as hot air in the grand scheme of things ...
