You indicate that you can reach 40% RH. I suggest that anything higher
than this in your cold climate will induce condensation on the windows and
walls, especially on the inside of the outer wall, and could start rot and
all sorts of other unpleasantness. Maybe you should take professional
advice before trying for any more water in your air.
