Interesting. I have a pre-Caree A Buffet built in 1949 with a significantly
larger bore and thinner walls than an A I bought in 1996. The older A was
completely overhauled recently. It plays with significantly less resistance
than the new A, which I compensate for but it takes work!

I have an intonation issue with the older A (low D,C) that I can't seem to
overcome, otherwise I would play it all of the time.

I would kill to find a match for my Schaller Bb. Maybe I will in heaven.
