Marc,
I use white florist tape. It's paper tape with a very thin layer of wax. It
comes in rolls and costs about $2 a roll. Any flower shop should have what
you need. Do not buy the colored tapes. The dies in the paper are not FDA
approved.
There are a couple of advantages when using the florist tape. First, it
holds together for extended periods of time. Second, it acts as a better
cushion that the cigarette paper. (but is still very thin)
