It happens that I did a study on this last week. The result is caused
33.030% by the player, 31.018% by the horn, 22.006% by the audience's
ears & nervous systems, 10.041% by the audience's previous experiences
(their 'culture'), and 3.905% by the weather.

But seriously, isn't the end result an **interaction** between all these
factors, which means that the effect of each component varies with what
the other components are doing at the moment?

For example, the horn probably has less effect on my playing on days
when I have proper control of my breath and embouchure, and therefore I
have more hope of making the instrument what *I* want it to. (in other
words, once every 73 days)
