Subj: [kl] audition nerves, was John Colbert
Date: Tue, 29 Oct 2002 15:38:42 -0500

I suffer severly from audition nerves, but I perform just fine.

Anybody familiar with Maynard Ferguson's "Fireshaker?" I played the trombone
solo from that in jazz band last year because our trombonists were too
scared. I had to stand up too, but I didn't get the least bit nervous. I
find nothing horrifying about performing. The audition is another story. I
shake, I cry, I forget things, I get dizzy...blah, blah, and blah.....oh
yeah! I forgot....BLAH!

Other than nerve pills, does anyone know any cures for this???
