I live about an hour south of Charleston. My school had this big dispute
with this other school because durring their homecoming week they included
"Logan Hick Day" in their spirit week festivities. I didn't really care, but
the vast majority did. I thought it was of poor judgement and rather lame,
so I didn't want to worry about it. I was forced to though because my
English teacher made us write letters to them. I just basically stated that
"I am not a hick" and a few other things as opposed to the epic hate letters
that were written by my peers stating "I ain't no hick!"

I think I made my point. They never sent the letters or published them in
the paper because the principal appologized for everyone. It pretty much
proved the students were not sorry when they were throwing rocks at members
of the marching band at half time. I still wonder why I wasn't hit, because
that was when I first started playing from the sidelines. I was a good idle
target.

Judging by what I have seen on television, I would expect hicks to throw
rocks at the marching band...
