You know what? I bet that most of them aren't so stupid.

With all respect, Rebecca, I feel that you should lighten up on other
people just as much as you should lighten up on yourself.

Honestly, people aren't that bad, and life is not built on continuous
tension and strife. (which is the main reason why I disapprove so
strongly when music education focuses on competition and loses sight of
the other motivations)

Think about music itself, which is the projection of human feelings.
Why are many compositions filled with beauty and grace and peace and
rapture and delight? Is it escapism or is it the expression of what
people feel? Learn from the music that you play.
