Have you noticed I can't stand feeling stupid?

This makes me feel stupid.

The only huge fear I have ever had other than my alto clarinet breaking is
becoming a stupid hick like the people I have to listen to every day. The
one thing that has always killed me is when I go out of state and people can
guess where I am from because of the few words I say that make it obvious.
